The talk of every NBA offseason is about free agency and some of the big names that are going to be switching to new teams in search of championships, but one thing that always seems to get overlooked is players re-signing with their current teams on long-term deals. 

Last year, we saw De’Aaron Fox, Donovan Mitchell, Jayson Tatum, Bam Adebayo and Brandon Ingram all agree to long-term contract extensions with their current teams and all five of these young stars are having some of the best years of their careers this year. There will be others to monitor in NBA rumors this go around.

This offseason, we may not see the same kind of star-power sign long-term deals, but there are still some young talents out there that have a chance to become All-Star level talents some day or in some of these guy’s cases, continue being All-Star talents. 

Obviously, the biggest contract extension news of the offseason will be the Warriors and Steph Curry working out what could be a monumental contract extension, as Curry has earned every penny of what could be one of the largest contracts in NBA history!
