New York Knicks
The Knicks entertained the idea of bringing Carmelo Anthony back to New York this past offseason, but he ultimately decided to re-sign with the Portland Trail Blazers. Now, with the Knicks finding a lot of success, but needing a little more firepower offensively, could they look to bring Melo back to MSG?
Carmelo spent 6.5 seasons in New York, leading the Knicks to two playoff appearances, including a trip to the Eastern Conference Semifinals in 2013. Anthony had some of the best years of his career in a Knicks’ uniform and it would seem fitting for him to finish off the end of his career there.
Not only would this be a heartwarming move for Anthony to return to the Knicks, but they could really use him in their second-unit. New York has been one of the best defensive teams in the league all season long, but offensively, they seem to be a few pieces away from being elite.
Julius Randle is a star-level player, R.J. Barrett is growing into a young, All-Star-like talent and with other key players in Derrick Rose, Alec Burks and rookie Immanuel Quickley, the Knicks definitely have some talent offensively, but bringing Carmelo back gives them that jolt of energy and scoring in their second-unit that they can thrive off of.

Given that he has signed for a minimum contract over the last two seasons, the Knicks could probably offer the same to Anthony this coming offseason and potentially get him to come back to New York.
