The 2020-21 NBA regular season is coming to an end, but some team’s real season is just beginning! The playoffs are right around the corner and some teams around the league have had the mentality of “championship or bust” on their minds all season long from the opening tip of the season!

On the other side of things in the Western Conference, the Phoenix Suns and Utah Jazz have been battling for who will end up as the 1-seed in the conference, but other teams also have championship aspirations.

The Nuggets have been one of the league best teams since Jamal Murray went down with a season-ending knee injury, the Clippers have been a top team all season long and then the Lakers have been stumbling, but they are still the defending champs!

While these teams all seem like the clear front-runners to contend for a championship this year, do not be so quick to count out some of the other playoffs teams in the league this year! Last year, the Miami Heat surprised everyone when they became the first 5-seed to ever make the NBA Finals, so anything is possible!

With that said, let’s take a look at three under-the-radar contenders who have a real chance to make a run to the NBA Finals!
