3 questions facing the Mavericks ahead of the NBA playoffs

The Dallas Mavericks have been one of the most entertaining teams in the NBA and it is because of the roster they have put together. It began when they landed Luka Doncic from the Atlanta Hawks on draft night in 2018. This gave them their centerpiece player to build around and now it is about putting the right players around him.

This is what Dallas has been attempting to do and it showed a bit last season. They were a playoff team a year ago and are looking the part once again. The Mavericks showed some inconsistent play early on and that put them in jeopardy of missing out on the most important time of the year.

They are currently fifth in the Western Conference at 37-28 and looking like they will have a chance to compete in the postseason. There’s plenty of basketball left to play, but they are in a real position to avoid the NBA Play-In Tournament with how they’ve played as of late.

As we move toward the postseason, Dallas will be an intriguing team to watch. Here are three questions that surround the team at the end of the season.
