#1 Jordan Clarkson – Utah Jazz
Pretty much since the first month of the season, the Sixth Man of the Year award has been Jordan Clarkson’s to lose and he is not going to lose it at this point! Not only has he run away with the award, but Clarkson currently leads all players in the league in bench scoring with 988 bench points scored and counting!
Clarksson has been remarkable this year in his 7th season in the NBA and on the year, he is averaging 17.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and is shooting 34.7% from three-point range. Jordan Clarkson’s contributions have been key for the Jazz all season long and as a result, they have led the league record wise since the first month of the season!
Pretty much since his third season in the league, Clarkson has been utilized in a “sixth man” role, but never to the extent that he has with the Utah Jazz. His minutes are way up, his scoring production is way up and his overall contribution to his team is at a career-high for his standards.
Without Jordan Clarkson this year, the Jazz would not be as good as they are record wise and while he does not start for them, you could make an argument that he is their second-best scoring option behind 2x All-Star Donovan Mitchell!
The Sixth Man of the Year award will go to Jordan Clarkson this year, making him the 32nd player to ever win the award in NBA history.
