Detroit Pistons
Signing Jerami Grant last offseason is shaping up to be one of the best offseason acquisitions, but overall, everybody knows the Pistons are tanking this year! I mean c’mon, Jerami Grant, Mason Plumlee, Wayne Ellington and other “older” guys are resting basically every other game for them!
Overall, this season was going to end up with the Pistons missing the playoffs whether or not everybody played every single game, but this team is definitely not in a bad position.
Seeing as they were not going to make the playoffs, the Pistons have basically been “tanking” since the start of the season that way they can end up with another young, high-level talent via the NBA Draft.

Detroit has had a lot of success in the NBA Draft over the years and recently, rookies Saddiq Bey, Isaiah Stewart and Killian Hayes all look like core pieces for the Pistons moving forward.
With a ton of young talent on their roster, the Pistons are definitely in a great spot moving forward and with a top pick in this year’s NBA Draft, they could be close to finally turning around their losing ways.
