#2 Myles Turner – Indiana Pacers

While he has missed some time this year due to numerous injuries, Myles Turner is still one of the top shot-blockers in the league, which is why he is in the running for the Defensive Player of the Year award this season.

Turner led the league in blocked shots during the 2018-19 season and this year, he is leading the league in blocked shots per game by 0.6 blocks per game! Not to mention, he has only played in 77% of his team’s total games this year!

All season long, Myles Turner has arguably been the league’s best shot-blocker and he even posted two games with 8 blocks this year! In fact, Turner has three games with 7+ blocks this year, which are the most in the league this year.

He may not be much of a contributor on the offensive-end of the court, but Myles Turner is an anchor defensively for the Indiana Pacers. Turner has made a name for himself in the league by being one of the best shot-blockers year-in and year-out, which is why he finds his name once again on the ballot for Defensive Player of the Year.
