Youngest Player in NBA History to Reach 2000 Career Points

One of the young, great players of this new generation of NBA talents is Zion Williamson. The 2019 #1 overall pick has been dominated this season and earlier in the year, he became the fastest player to record his 2000th career point since Michael Jordan.

Anytime you are being mentioned with Jordan, you are doing something right and Zion has definitely been doing something right this year! Williamson recorded his 2000th career point in his 79th career game, which was the quickest since Jordan did so in 73 games in 1985.

Wilt Chamberlain still holds the record for the quickest player in NBA history to score 2000 points, as he did so in only 53 games, a record that will likely never be broken, but the list that Zion Williamson has joined is as elite as they come!

The list of players to have recorded their 2000th point in fewer games than Zion include the likes of: Wilt Chamberlain, Walt Bellamy, Oscar Robertson, Elvin Hayes, George Mikan, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Michael Jordan, Billy Knight, David Thompson, Elgin Baylor and Rick Barry. Of these 11 former players, 10 of them went on to become NBA legends and Hall-of-Famers, so this is some pretty good company for Zion to be named with!

The future is extremely bright for Zion Williamson and given how dominant he is now at just 20-years-old, it is just a matter of time before he becomes the best player in the league and the face of the NBA!
