Why the Wizards should keep their Beal-Westbrook duo intact long-term

Early on in the season, it seemed like the Washington Wizards were heading towards missing the playoffs for the third consecutive season, but they have arguably been one of the hottest teams during the second-half of the NBA season. 

Since the start of April, the Washington Wizards are 11-5 and have worked their way back into the playoff picture in the Eastern Conference, as they currently find themselves 2 full games ahead of the Chicago Bulls and Toronto Raptors for the 10-seed in the Eastern Conference.

Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal have been sensational this year, but regardless of what happens with the Wizards season, are these two superstars going to stay in Washington D.C. long-term? 

From this past offseason through the first half of this year, there was heavy speculation that Bradley Beal could be on the move in the near future, but both he and the Wizards have shot down all speculation that they are looking to move him. What the future holds for Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal as it pertains to the Wizards is a big storyline in the NBA heading into the offseason. 

With that said, here are three reasons why the Washington Wizards should do everything they can to keep their All-Star duo of Westbrook and Beal intact for the foreseeable future.
