#3 Quin Snyder – Utah Jazz
All season long, the Utah Jazz have led the Western Conference record-wise and now, while they are only a game up on the Suns for 1st place in the West, they are still one of the favorites to win their first championship in franchise history this season!
Utah is arguably having their best season since they last made the NBA Finals during the 1997-98 season, where they ultimately lost to Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls in six games. That team was coached by the late great Jerry Sloan, who has been regarded as the best coach in Jazz history, but Quin Snyder may be cementing his status as the second-best coach in Jazz history.
Since becoming the Utah Jazz head coach ahead of the 2014-15 season, Quin Synder has had just two losing seasons and has taken the Jazz to four consecutive playoff appearances, including two trips to the Western Conference Semifinals.
Last season during the NBA shutdown, he and his entire coaching staff devised a plan to change their approach to the game, valuing more of the “3-and-D” philosophy and getting more shots up and since then, the Jazz have been one of the toughest teams to play in the league.

Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert and others on this Jazz roster deserve a lot of credit for what they have done on the court, but Quin Snyder deserves even more credit for the job he has done to make this year’s Jazz team one of the best overall teams on both ends of the court.
