New Orleans Pelicans

With Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram being the two young stars on the New Orleans Pelicans, the future is definitely bright for this organization, but they need to add another high-level, proven talent in order to be competitive in the Western Conference.

Seeing as they are one of the worst perimeter-oriented teams in the entire league, making a move for CJ McCollum would definitely be beneficial and they actually have some intriguing assets that they could offer up in return.

Eric Bledsoe is a player that is expected to hit the trade market this offseason and is still an impactful player on the defensive-end of the court, as is young center Jaxson Hayes. Both guys could be of interest to the Blazers, but Lonzo Ball is an interesting name to watch as it relates to the Pelicans and trade talks.

Ball is set to become a restricted free agent and could be used as trade bait through a sign-and-trade in the offseason. The Blazers may not be interested in Ball since he is a primary ball-handler and adding him to a rotation with Damian Lillard could be difficult to figure out, but for other potential deals, Lonzo Ball’s future is very much up-in-the-air.

He will be one of the most highly sought after free agents in the coming offseason, so whether or not they use him to try and acquire a star-level player is yet to be determined. However, the Pelicans will be looking to make moves to add more talent to their roster, specifically on the perimeter, which is why CJ McCollum would make sense for them to target.
