Nikola Jokic remains atop the pack in NBA MVP Race

With the 2020-21 NBA regular season coming to an end, it is time to start talking about who deserves some of this year’s awards, more specifically, the league MVP! Bucks’ forward Giannis Antetokounmpo has won the award back-to-back years now, but this year, it seems like someone new will be taking home the MVP honors.

Between injuries and COVID-19 related issues all season long, we have seen numerous players make their cases for being this year’s league MVP, but just a select few have really stuck out compared to the rest of the league.

Over the last month or so, Stephen Curry has been the most dominant player in the league and nobody has been able to stop him. He has made a very strong case for why he is this league’s “Most Valuable Player,” but seeing as the Warriors are on the verge of being out of the playoff picture, it is hard to imagine that he has any shot to win the award for a third time in his career.

However, given his recent historic performances, it will not be a surprise to see Curry receive some votes for the MVP award and possibly even work his way into the Top-3 in the voting come the end of the year!

Overall though, it seems like this award has been fought for between two guys all year long, with the third guy on our list possibly being a shocker to some, but very deservingly so deserves to be in this year’s MVP conversation. With that said, let’s dive into the Top-3 MVP candidates as the season dwindles down.
