Reason #3: Russell Westbrook is putting up video game-like numbers
When he was traded to the Wizards at the start of the season, many people talked badly of Russell Westbrook and his mentality heading into the season, but he has been putting together yet another impressive season statistically speaking.
Not many guys have averaged a triple-double for a season and Westbrook is currently doing it for the fourth time in his career, as he is currently averaging 21.8 points, 11.0 rebounds and 11.0 assists per game while shooting 43.7% from the floor.
In fact, Russell Westbrook has recorded 29 triple-doubles this season in 54 total games with the Wizards. One of his most impressive triple-doubles of his career happened this year against the Pacers, in which Westbrook set yet another NBA record after scoring 35 points, grabbing 14 rebounds and dishing out 21 assists!

Westbrook became the third player to ever have a 30-point, 20-assist game, joining the likes of Magic Johnson and Oscar Robertson, and his performance was the first 35/20/10 game in NBA history.
It seems like every time he goes out on the court now, he is going to record a triple-double and quite honestly, he may have to for the Wizards to continue the success they have been having! Whether or not they make the playoffs, Russell Westbrook deserves a ton of credit for what he has done this year and given how well he has been playing, he has the Wizards lined up to be competitive in the play-in tournament.
