Does this trade make sense for the Atlanta Hawks?

While Eric Bledsoe and Nickeil Alexander-Walker give the Hawks more depth in their backcourt, getting rid of Bogdan Bogdanovic makes little sense. He has consistently been one of their better scorers when he has been healthy and on the court and is a big reason why they are in the playoff position they are right now.

Not only are the Hawks going to make the playoffs for the first time since 2017, but they are likely going to avoid having to play in the play-in tournament. They are currently tied with the Knicks for the 4-seed in the Eastern Conference and with some favorable matchups remaining on their schedule, they could potentially finish with a Top-4 record in the Eastern Conference this season.

Atlanta is playing some of the best basketball their organization has seen in years, and both Bogdanovic and Gallinari, their two big free agent signings from a year ago, are two big reasons why they have found a lot of success this year.
