With Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal, the Wizards currently find themselves fighting for a spot in the play-in tournament, but whether or not they make it, Washington has a lot of roster fixing to do in the offseason.

Outside of their two superstars, the Wizards do not have much talent on their roster. They have a bunch of younger players and some role players, but nobody other than maybe Rui Hachimura, Daniel Gafford and Deni Avdija really sticks out as being key future talents.

As a result, the Wizards could be willing to move on from guys like Davis Bertans and Thomas Bryant, both of which combined are eating up about $24.6M in cap space for next season. With the two Wizards’ superstars contracts being super expensive, they do not have much room to make big moves, so a trade for Kevin Love may not be too ideal for them financially.

If they added Kevin Love, which is possible, they would be paying Love, Westbrook and Beal a combined $109.9M next season, leaving almost no room for the Wizards to add anybody else to their roster. Again, this is likely out of question for the Wizards, but it definitely is a possibility given that they need frontcourt help.

Love could immediately become this team’s go-to player in the frontcourt and with other young frontcourt talents like Rui Hachimura and Daniel Gafford, Kevin Love could really help them grow further as young talents. Having a guy like Kevin Love who can step out on the perimeter and knock down shots at the power-forward position would compliment both Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal quite nicely.
