Another year, another season without a postseason berth for the Washington Wizards. This is not official yet. Washington is 3.5 games out of a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference but it is extremely unlikely that they make a drastic move up the standings. With that being said, the Wizards once again will have some early thoughts on the offseason and most importantly — the 2021 NBA Draft.
Washington was aggressive in the offseason and made some big moves. They traded John Wall to the Houston Rockets for Russell Westbrook. This showed that the franchise was moving in a different direction. Right now, it has not worked and this puts them in an even-worse position.

Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal should be on the trading block once the year is complete. The Wizards need to completely rebuild from the group up. Davis Bertans is another big contract that could be on the move if Washington wants to shake things up.
At this point, the Wizards could use any position in the draft. They will likely land a top-10 pick and that means an impact performer could be coming to D.C. This player could join Beal, if he is still around, or could take over on their own.
Bradley Beal has shown great loyalty to the Wizards, even over recent years when they have been down. Heading into the draft, the Wizards need improvement in many ways and positions that will be available when they are on the clock.
Washington has quickly turned into one of the worst franchises in the league. This is going to be difficult to turn around but they could begin with one of these three options in the draft.
