3 intriguing offseason targets for the Mavericks to help Luka Doncic

With Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis healthy, the Mavericks definitely have a strong offensive-minded duo in the Western Conference, but this team is going to have to make some moves in the NBA offseason if they are to be true title contenders moving forward.

This season, the Mavericks have been great as of late, as they are comfortably in the playoff picture in the Western Conference as the 6-seed, but realistically, it is hard to see this team making any noise come playoff time. They may win a game or two, but if they are to go up against the Jazz, Clippers or Suns in the first-round, it is hard to see them winning that series.

Dallas just does not have the firepower and depth that other teams in the Western Conference have and while they have a complete mismatch of a player in Porzingis and a legit MVP candidate in Luka Doncic, they are still missing those key, consistent pieces around these guys.

This team needs another high-level, third scoring option for them to emerge as true title contenders and with an estimated $21.1M in cap space entering the offseason, they have a real chance to potentially add that third talent they so desperately need.
