Ranking the 3 best fits for Orlando Magic in 2021 NBA Draft

Kai Jones

Evan Mobley out of USC is the top big man in the draft and Kai Jones is not far behind him. He will be the second big taken and the Magic could look to take advantage of their second pick in the top 10. The ceiling is extremely high for Jones and he would be part of a huge rebuild for the Magic.

Kai Jones is not a finished product. He has a lot of work but the size, length, and intangibles cannot be denied. Jones is a 6-foot-11 center that can protect the rim. Offensively, Jones showed off a bit of a jump shot during his time at Texas.

This season, he shot 38.4% from three-point range while being an elite finisher at the rim. This is a fit for the Magic given the fact that they just sent Vucevic to Chicago. A pairing of Kai Jones and whichever guard the Magic decide to add with their first pick is something that fans should get excited about.

This is something they need after this season. The Magic will take some time to build back up but they are in a good position heading into the draft. If they want to add a frontcourt player, they could have a shot at one of the best in the class.
