Ranking the 3 best fits for Memphis Grizzlies in 2021 NBA Draft

Usman Garuba

Usman Garuba

Usman Garuba is an extremely raw player. Every year, there are players that seem to rise up draft boards in the weeks leading up and Garuba could be one of those. He spent last year playing for Real Madrid in Spain and did not put up big numbers. Garuba averaged just over four points and four rebounds per game but could have a huge upside heading towards the NBA.

There are some scouts that fear Usman Garuba peaked early. He did not put up big numbers last season and he leaves a lot to be desired with his jump shot. With that being said, Garuba is a strong finisher at the rim and in the post. On the defensive side, he is a load.

Usman Garuba can protect the rim and rebound effectively. Garuba has the size and strength to compete at the next level. Memphis would be able to add some depth off the bench and Garuba would bring a level of toughness. This is a pick that would take some time to develop but could end up having a tremendous upside.

Usman Garuba could be a prospect that the Grizzlies could land near the end of the first round. It would be a bit of a risk but the reward could eventually be worth it.
