Two of the nation’s top prospects for the 2021 NBA Draft are Jalen Suggs, a freshman guard out of Gonzaga and Jalen Green, a young guard who skipped playing collegiate basketball to be a founding member of the G-League Ignite team.

Both guys are undoubtedly going to be drafted inside the Top-5 of this year’s draft and both prospects are extremely talented players, but is there anything that separates one of these guys from the other in terms of overall talent? Jalen Suggs was a freshman at Gonzaga this past year and was a key member of their historic team. The Zags were undefeated going into the championship game, eventually losing to Baylor, but Suggs was fantastic for them all year long.

His craftiness and ability to facilitate is arguably as good as any prospect entering the NBA over the last several years and immediately, he has a chance to be an organization’s franchise point guard from the first time he steps out on the court.

Not many people know about Jalen Green since he did not play in college, but he is definitely a name NBA fans are going to fall in love with. Green is arguably the best athlete in this year’s draft class and in the G-League this season, he displayed his versatility and ability to be an elite-level offensive threat at the next level.

Both young talents have what it takes to be NBA stars for a long-time to come, but what makes Jalen Suggs a higher rated prospect than Jalen Green and/or vice versa? Let’s take a look at both prospects a little closer and truly see what makes each guy unique in their own way.
