The New Orleans Pelicans have quickly turned into an intriguing destination in the NBA. Free agents could take a long, hard look at the Pelicans when making their decisions and it is because of what is being built over there. The front office is looking to make another splash in the NBA draft in hopes of continuing this rebuild.

The 2019 NBA Draft Lottery was a sweepstakes for Zion Williamson. The Pelicans celebrated when they were given the No. 1 overall pick and the chance to draft a franchise-changing star. Williamson is just that into his second year in the league.

Brandon Ingram signed an extension in the offseason and is the second half of the dynamic duo for the Pelicans moving forward. They have been busy and aggressive since the offseason when making moves to retool the lineup. They will have a chance to add another prospect in the upcoming 2021 NBA Draft.

New Orleans could use some help down low and at point guard. They sent Jrue Holiday to the Milwaukee Bucks in the offseason and Eric Bledsoe could be the next guard on his way out of town. The frontcourt lacks explosiveness and depth.

Both Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson have the versatility to handle the ball and play along the perimeter. It will be interesting to see which direction the Pelicans decide to go when they are on the clock because there are many options.

The Pelicans have had some luck in the 2021 NBA Draft and they are hoping that can continue. Here are three players to keep an eye on over the course of all the draft speculation for New Orleans.
