Ayo Dosunmu

Ayo Dosunmu could have gone pro a year ago but he decided to return to Illinois for one more year. This is where he polished his game and led one of the best teams in the nation. Dosunmu averaged 20.3 points and 5.3 assists per game this season. Illinois was bounced early in the NCAA Tournament but Dosunmu’s draft stock was locked in well before that.

In this draft class, Ayo Dosunmu is an older prospect but he is also one of the most NBA-ready players. He is a true scorer at all levels and can play a fast-paced game. Golden State could bring in Dosunmu as a sparkplug off the bench.

If they draft a backcourt member, they will have to develop coming off the bench and learn from Curry and Thompson. This is a role that Ayo Dosunmu could do well. His athleticism and explosiveness make him a difference maker that can contribute right away.

The Warriors have plenty of options on the table and it will be interesting to see which direction they decide to go. There will be a lot more rumors leading up to the draft and Ayo Dosunmu to the Warriors could gain more traction as time goes on.
