Houston Rockets
After trading Russell Westbrook and James Harden, the Rockets decided to enter a rebuild process and it will take a few years for them to gain relevance again in the Western Conference, which is why they have time to develop young talents.
The Rockets have been aggressive in pursuing young talents over the last year or so, signing Christian Wood and trading for Kevin Porter Jr., which is exactly why looking to acquire Obi Toppin makes sense for them.
The Rockets have plenty of draft assets to offer up to get Toppin from the Knicks and with a lack of productivity in their frontcourt, Toppin could join Houston and immediately see plenty of playing time in his first season with them.
Jae’Sean Tate and Christian Wood really are the only options in the Rockets’ frontcourt, giving Obi Toppin plenty of opportunities to grow and expand his game.
