3 players the Trail Blazers could pursue to improve defensively

While they have faced a ton of adversity with injuries this season, the Portland Trail Blazers have been one of the most slept on teams this season. They currently find themselves as the 6-seed in the Western Conference playoff picture, but no team is going to want to play the Blazers come time for the NBA playoffs because of how good of an offensive team they are.

They are not only one of the top scoring teams in the league, but Damian Lillard has continued to be sensational this year and deserves to be in the MVP conversation.

When both C.J. McCollum and Jusuf Nurkic went down with injuries, Damian Lillard continued to elevate his play and carry the Trail Blazers to having one of the better records in the Western Conference.

Now, Portland has both Nurkic and McCollum back and are ready to make some noise. Fully healthy, this team has a bunch of scoring options and potentially could have a chance to pull off a big upset in the first-round of the playoffs.

However, this team likely will fall short of reaching the NBA Finals, bringing them back to the drawing board in the offseason on how to finally contend for a championship in the Western Conference.

Defense has been a big struggle for the Trail Blazers to this point in the season and with some key players set to become free agents in the offseason, freeing up some cap space, who could the Blazers pursue in the offseason to improve defensively?
