It seems as though the Sacramento Kings have been rebuilding for many years now after no shortage of missed picks in the NBA Draft. They are once again going to miss the postseason in the Western Conference and plan early for the offseason. This is a team that has not been as aggressive as expected to this point but that could change moving forward.
We saw Buddy Hield’s name mentioned in trade rumors since last offseason. He has not been moved and could be their biggest trade piece once again this year. De’Aaron Fox was supposed to be the centerpiece player for Sacramento but there are chances that he could be moved.
Not to mention Richaun Holmes, who is building value for himself every time he steps on the court. The Kings could use the draft to fill a hole that they create in some sort of blockbuster trade once the year is over.
The Kings lack depth in the frontcourt. Ultimately, it would not be surprising to see the team go in that direction at the draft. Sacramento will likely own a top-10 pick, which once again puts them in a good position to add that next-level prospect to help for the future.
