Tony Snell – Atlanta Hawks
In his eighth NBA season, Tony Snell has been one of the most underrated players in the league this season and in his first year with the Hawks, is currently leading the league in three-point shooting percentage.
Snell did not really play in games early on in the year until the Hawks faced some key injuries. Now, Tony Snell has been a key role player for them both in the starting unit and off-the-bench and is currently shooting 57.1% from three-point range! Snell is 56-98 on the year, which is a smaller sample size than other talents in the league, but is exactly the kind of veteran, experienced player the Pelicans should target.
Tony Snell has been around the league, the Hawks being his fourth NBA franchise since being drafted in 2013, and has always seemed to have to prove himself everywhere he has been. He has never been known as being a high-level, double-digit scoring option, but Snell is an excellent “3-and-D” option on the wing that is playing extremely well this year.
While he is making $12.2M this season with the Hawks, Tony Snell will likely be getting offers for $5M-$7M per season in NBA free agency, making him a very affordable key target for the New Orleans Pelicans. Not only could they bring Lonzo Ball back, but they could add a guy like Snell, who is more than capable of playing a key role for them in or out of the starting rotation.

Whether it is the Pelicans or another team, Tony Snell deserves a chance to prove what he can do as a key talent on a roster. He can shoot from the perimeter and be a key defensive player, which is exactly why numerous teams will likely pursue Snell in the offseason.
