Does this trade make sense for the Washington Wizards?

Myles Turner is a shot-blocker at one end, and both a low-post and perimeter-threat on the other end of the court, which is why it is surprising to see the Pacers not utilize him more often. With guys like Sabonis and Brogdon trumping him in terms of production on the Pacers roster, it seems very realistic that Indiana would be willing to trade him for the right price.

With Washington, Turner would not be asked to do anything he cannot already do and could become an even better all-around talent because of all the focus on Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal in the backcourt. Not only could this open up the court for him to knock-down more three-point shots, but could give him more opportunities to catch lobs for easy dunks.

Over the course of his career with the Pacers, Myles Turner has averaged 12.7 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.2 blocks and has shot 48.7% from the floor and 35.2% from three-point range. His 707 blocks in his first 5 seasons make him one of the top shot-blockers in the league and make him a player who can have an immediate impact in Washington.

While they may miss the playoffs this season, adding Myles Turner to this team in the offseason gives them three high-level talents with a solid amount of young players to continue building with.

If you add Myles Turner to this Washington Wizards roster, they suddenly have the firepower to be able to compete with any team and could actually make a strong case to be a playoff team next season. This would be some turn around by the Wizards if they could pull it off, the only question is if the Pacers are even willing to listen to offers for Turner right now given their own playoff aspirations.
