Oklahoma City Thunder
Over the last decade or so, the Oklahoma City Thunder have seen the likes of Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, James Harden, Paul George and Chris Paul all be a part of this franchise and leave, but their front-office has made a ton of moves to set themselves up for a lot of success in the future.
The Thunder have been making trades left and right over the last two years and as a result, they now have the rights to 37 draft picks through the 2027 NBA Draft, including 19 first-round picks! Just let that number set in – 19 first-round draft picks!
Not only does OKC have the ability to continue drafting some of the best prospects year-by-year in the NBA Draft, but they also have the assets to be able to pull off one of the biggest trades in league history. Virtually any player in the league is available for them given how many draft picks they can offer up and if there is one thing we know about GM Sam Presti, it is that he is going to find a way to add an All-Star level talent to this roster via a trade.
With young talents in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Luguentz Dort, Darius Bazley and others already on this roster, the Thunder have a real chance to go from near last-place to near first-place in the Western Conference in just a matter of years.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has turned himself into an elite-level guard in this league and next season, when he is fully healthy, he could very much wind up having an All-Star caliber year. SGA is one of the best, young players in the entire league and with him having the abilities to affect the game defensively, he has a chance to grow into one of the best two-way stars in this league.

There is nothing not to like about the way the Oklahoma City Thunder’s front-office are working right now and while they are not championship contenders right now, this organization has a chance to build themselves into one of the most sustainable and successful teams in the entire league for many years to come. They will be a team to watch in NBA trade rumors considering they are always working the phones for deals.
With all of the draft picks and young talents they have, the Thunder have arguably the most potential out of any team in this league and should be able to quickly turn things around within the next year or two. Whether they land no the #1 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft or not, watch out for them.
