Julius Randle – New York Knicks

The New York Knicks are finally relevant again and are probably going to make the playoffs this season in large part because of Julius Randle. The Knicks are one of the best defensive teams in the league, which is why they have had a ton of success this season, but Julius Randle has elevated his play this season to become a first-time All-Star and cement himself as one of the best frontcourt talents in the entire league.

Randle currently ranks first on the Knicks in scoring, rebounding, assists, field goals made and Player Efficiency Rating, not to mention, he ranks second on the team in steals and fourth in blocked shots.

Not only has Julius Randle improved offensively, but the strides he has made to be an anchor for this team on both ends of the court is why they are one of the toughest teams to play in the league. Every Time the Knicks need something good to happen, Julius Randle has the ball in his hands and he is able to deliver virtually every time down the court.

The 26-year-old big man is amongst the league’s best rebounders and given how versatile he is, Julius Randle has a very strong case to being named to one of the three All-NBA teams this year. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Zion Williamson seem like two clear-cut favorites to get two of the forward spots this season, but it is hard to make a case that anybody other than Randle deserves the third power-forward spot.
