This Pelicans-Rockets offseason trade is focused on Eric Gordon

The New Orleans Pelicans have quickly turned into an intriguing landing spot in NBA free agency. They will be busy in the offseason and looking for the next star to join the team. New Orleans could look to a rebuilding team looking to unload some of their veteran players. That is where the Houston Rockets come in to play.

Houston has been extremely busy since the beginning of the season. It began when they sent Russell Westbrook to the Washington Wizards in exchange for John Wall. James Harden was eventually sent to Brooklyn and the Rockets acquired Victor Oladipo.

After being unable to agree to an extension, Oladipo was sent to Miami. All of this has caused the Rockets to become a bottom feeder in the Western Conference and there are still more moves to be made.

The Pelicans are hoping they are on the other end of the spectrum. They are team looking to speed up the rebuilding process by adding some more talent in the offseason.
