It is unknown if the Miami Heat will have room to sign Dennis Schroder but they are certainly a team that has shown interest in improving. In the offseason, Miami prioritized point guard over anything else.

The Miami Heat did not land any big name so Goran Dragic returned to the lineup. At the NBA trade deadline, the Heat made a deal for Victor Oladipo and it was rumored that he was going to sign an extension. Pat Riley will have some choices to make once the season is complete.

Miami is beginning to climb up the standings in the Eastern Conference. They showed plenty of inconsistency early on but have figured it out a bit in recent weeks. The Heat are focusing on the postseason but adding a point guard has to be at the top of their list once the season is complete.

We have seen the Miami Heat linked to guards like Kyle Lowry and Mike Conley but Schroder could be a better option. He would cost more but would be around longer and still fit into their win-now mode. Miami is no stranger to big moves and it will be interesting to see if they made another one here.

The Miami Heat are just one year removed from an appearance in the NBA Finals. They are a win-now team that should be looking to land that elite point guard to go along with Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo.
