Memphis Grizzlies
All season long, it seems like the Memphis Grizzlies have slipped under-the-radar even though they are above .500 and sitting in the 8-seed slot in the Western Conference. They are only a game up on the San Antonio Spurs, who are the current 9-seed, but Memphis has quietly been winning big games this year.
They have wins over the Heat, the Clippers, the 76ers, the Suns and even the Brooklyn Nets, who they beat twice! Led by last season’s Rookie of the Year, Ja Morant, the Grizzlies are a tough team to play because they get after it on the defensive-end of the court.
The Memphis Grizzlies currently rank 7th in the NBA in defensive rating and with seven players averaging double-digit scoring numbers for the season, they have plenty of depth to be able to match up with almost any team in the NBA.
Not to mention, Jaren Jackson Jr. should be ready to return to the court for the Memphis Grizzlies in a few weeks, giving them even more firepower than they already have. JJJ will likely see his minutes cut in half when he returns and could even be on a minutes restriction come playoff time, but just having him on the court gives the Grizzlies yet another threat on both ends of the court.

They are a really solid three-point shooting team, they can turn their opponent’s turnovers into points in a blink of an eye and they have numerous guys who can score, which is why the Memphis Grizzlies are definitely a team that will be a threat in the play-in tournament this season.
