Why This Trade Would Benefit The Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavaliers have been a rebuilding team for quite some time now and it is time they begin to truly clean house. This began when they agreed to a buyout with Andre Drummond after being unable to find a trade partner.

Kevin Love is another veteran name in the frontcourt that has been thrown around rumors but has not been moved. When looking at potential additions, Reddish is a low-risk one target.

Reddish has some starting experience over the last two years with the Hawks. He has played alongside Young but his days could be coming to an end. When looking at the Cavs’ lineup, they are strong in the backcourt and the versatility of Reddish could add to that.

Reddish is a wing that can play multiple positions. This would allow Cleveland to use him in many ways and be creative, along with Sexton and Garland. Cleveland is looking to rebuild and the best way to do so is to add some promising, young talent to the rotation.

This would not be a blockbuster deal that makes Cleveland contenders but it is a smart move for a prospect. It will be interesting to see if they end up pursuing Reddish when the time comes.
