3 under-the-radar potential landing spots for Kyle Lowry

Kyle Lowry is in the final year of his contract with the Toronto Raptors. He has been one of the best players in franchise history but his days there could be numbered. Lowry was able to survive the NBA trade deadline but could decide to leave the Raptors in NBA free agency once the season is over.

Kyle Lowry was one of the hottest names on the trading block at the NBA trade deadline. The 34-year-old point guard is still playing the game at a high level with no signs of slowing down. Lowry is averaging 17 points per game while shooting 39.1% from three-point range.

He was part of the team that brought the Raptors’ franchise their first championship and will forever be apart of their history. All good things must come to an end and Lowry’s tenure in Toronto looks like one of those.

At the NBA trade deadline, Lowry was linked to teams like the Philadelphia 76ers and Miami Heat. He is from Philly and played his college ball at Villanova so the storyline would have been incredible.

The Raptors were unable to find a trade partner and that means Lowry will finish the year with the Raptors. Once the season is over, and it has been a mediocre one for the Raptors, there will be plenty of teams interested in the veteran point guard.

Miami and Philadelphia highlighted the suitors at the NBA trade deadline but there could be some under-the-radar contenders for Lowry. Here are three teams to keep a close eye on in free agency.
