No. 3. Boston Celtics

What has happened to the Boston Celtics? It seems like every year they are bringing in new star players and high-level talents, yet they cannot seem to finally get “over the hump” and make the NBA Finals.

They have been to the Eastern Conference Finals in three of the last four years, yet they are 6-12 in WCF games in this time span and just do not seem to have that extra little bit of firepower they need to finally compete for their 18th championship in franchise history.

The biggest problem for the Celtics this year is the fact that they have one of the league’s worst benches. Outside of Kemba Walker, Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum, this team has virtually no production and as a result, they find themselves fighting for a solidified playoff spot this season.

Just a game and a half separates the 5-seed Celtics from the 8-seed Hornets and they lead the 9-seed Pacers by just 2.5 games! The Celtics just has not been able to figure things out this season and while they have three All-Star caliber players, this team is not going to make the NBA Finals yet again.

They are the ultimate “playoff contenders” over the last couple of seasons because they have all the talent in the world and really do have a chance to make the NBA Finals, but they always seem to choke and come up short of their goals.

Eventually, with Tatum and Brown leading this team, the Celtics are going to be playing in the NBA Finals for a chance to win a title, but this season, this will not happen and Boston will likely see an early exit in the playoffs, especially if they find themselves lower than the 6-seed in the Eastern Conference and draw a matchup with either the 76ers, Nets or Bucks in the first-round.
