No. 3. Phoenix Suns finish with the best record in the Western Conference

Last season in the NBA Bubble, the Phoenix Suns were the team everybody was cheering for and they were fantastic, going 8-0 in their seeding games, but coming up just short of making the playoffs. The Suns have not been to the playoffs since Amar’e Stoudemire and Steve Nash led this organization to the Western Conference Finals in 2010, but now, this team has championship aspirations.

Devin Booker is one of the most underrated players in the entire league and he has continued to prove that he is one of the most lethal scorers in the league, but the biggest difference for the Suns this season is the fact that Chris Paul is their point guard.

Everywhere Chris Paul goes, he not only finds success, but he winds up taking that team to the playoffs! He went from the New Orleans Hornets to the Los Angeles Clippers and improved the Clippers, taking them to six straight playoff appearances, then he went from the Clippers to the Rockets, improving their record and taking them to two straight playoff appearances, then he joined Oklahoma City last season, taking them to the playoffs after being projected to finish dead-last in the standings and now, with the Suns, he has taken them from being a borderline playoff team to being one of the favorite to win a championship!

The success the Suns have found as an organization has been quite remarkable and while both Devin Booker and Chris Paul deserve a ton of the credit, a lot of the credit also has to go to potential Coach of the Year, Monty Williams. Now in his second season as the head coach of the Suns, Williams has this team on the verge of making history and they are arguably the hottest team in the league right now, no pun intended!

The Suns are 15-4 since the All-Star break and against teams with a winning record in the Western Conference, they are 12-5 on the season. Now, the Suns find themselves just 1.5 games back from the Jazz, who have held the top spot in the Western Conference all season and with 18 games remaining on their schedule, Phoenix can definitely surpass Utah for the top-spot in the Western Conference.

Chris Paul is the best leader in the NBA, Devin Booker is one of the best pure scorers in the league and with a ton of depth and key talents around them, the Phoenix Suns have the capability to not only win the Western Conference regular season title, but potentially make the NBA Finals this season for the first time since 1993.
