This Bulls-Hawks offseason trade features Coby White

After failing to eclipse 27 wins for the last three NBA seasons, the Chicago Bulls currently find themselves 22-30 with 20 games left on their schedule for this season. They are currently 4 games back from the Knicks for the 8-seed in the Eastern Conference and 3 games back from the Pacers for the 9-seed.

It seems like the Bulls only shot to make the playoffs this season will to win one or two play-in games to draw a matchup with one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference. Whether or not this team makes the playoffs, Chicago is still in a pretty good position as a franchise.

At this year’s trade deadline, they decided to trade for All-Star center Nikola Vucevic, giving them two high-level, All-Star talents in Vucevic and Zach LaVine. With them expected to have over $12M in cap space entering the offseason, the Bulls could definitely be a team that looks to make another big move to try and elevate themselves to being a real threat in the East.

This is why they could look to move one or two of their key role players to try and bolster their roster. One player they could look to move for more value is former 7th overall pick Coby White. The 21-year-old combo-guard is in his second season in the league and has been a great weapon for the Bulls in and out of the starting rotation.

Could Chicago look to get as much value out of the young guard now while they are trying to build themselves into a real playoff threat in the Eastern Conference? Let’s take a look at a hypothetical offseason trade proposal presented by Bleacher Report’s Zach Buckley that would send Coby White to the Atlanta Hawks for a young wing and some draft compensation.
