Why This Trade Would Make Sense For The New York Knicks
The New York Knicks have shown that they can compete defensively but have had trouble putting the ball in the basket. Just because they have been in the top eight of the conference does not mean that they are championship contenders. The Eastern Conference is extremely top-heavy and the Knicks are surely not one of the teams near the top.
With that being said, the Knicks seem to be trending in the right direction. Tom Thibodeau is the team that can take the team to the next level but he needs some more players on the floor. This is where the Knicks have been thrown into many NBA trade rumors at the deadline but decided to stay put.
They said they like their current make up but with everybody knows that is not the case. New York knows they need to add some more players if they want to contend. Grant would give them a new dynamic and a player to rely on both ends of the floor.

The impressive success the Knicks have achieved this season has been significantly assisted with their defensive prowess. When making a key addition to their core, it’s important they are adding a versatile threat that not only just sustains their impact on that end, but makes them better. That’s precisely what Jerami Grant would bring to their team while adding more offensive firepower.
New York has not had that star presence since the days of Carmelo Anthony. Randle has had a strong season but he is not the number one superstar that a team needs to win. It will be interesting to see if the front office finally decides to make a move when the time comes.
