Why This Trade Makes Sense For The Charlotte Hornets

Whenever a team can add the leading scorer in the league, it is a huge benefit. Bradley Beal is showing that he is in elite scorer and can get it done in many ways. He would join a loaded backcourt along with Devonte’ Graham and LaMelo Ball next season, not to mention Gordon Hayward.

Charlotte needs to approve their frontcourt if they want to make any true noise but Beal would be hard to pass up on. With how top-heavy the Eastern Conference has become with the super-team Brooklyn Nets setting the tone, it will take a lot of offensive firepower for other teams to compete.

The Hornets have been linked to some big names, both in free agency and in the trade market. To this point, they have not done much. The addition of Ball and his emergence gives the front office plenty of options on what to do with Graham and Rozier.

Graham is in the final year of his deal and will be a restricted free agency after the season. It makes more sense to keep him because he is not owed as much money. Also, this would allow Beal to take over as the focal point of the offense.

This is a move that would show fans that the Hornets are serious about competing right away. This season has given them a glimpse into how poor the other teams and Easter Conference are and that they are really not far away from being a staple in the postseason.
