New Orleans Pelicans Receive: Kristaps Porzingis, Dwight Powell

Dallas Mavericks Receive: Steven Adams, Eric Bledsoe, Kira Lewis Jr., Jaxson Hayes, 2021 1st Round Pick, 2023 1st Round Pick

Kristaps Porzingis is the biggest player being moved in this deal but he would not be on his own. Dwight Powell would also be sent to the Pelicans. New Orleans would have to give up a bit but they have assets that could benefit the Mavericks as they move forward.

Steven Adams is the centerpiece going back to Dallas. Eric Bledsoe, who came over last ofseason from the Milwaukee Bucks, would also be on his way to the Mavericks. Dallas will be able to flip Porzingis for two players ready to contribute and some first-round draft capital that they originally lost.

This wouldn’t be a massive haul for Porzingis but landing two intriguing young players in Kira Lewis Jr. and Jaxson Hayes along with a pair of first round picks would be a solid option. Both players could develop alongside Luka Doncic long-term, especially Hayes as a pick-and-roll partner and rim protector.

Let’s take a closer look at how this NBA offseason trade scenario centered around Kristaps Porzingis would benefit both the Dallas Mavericks and New Orleans Pelicans.
