Why this trade makes sense for the Minnesota Timberwolves
Contrary to popular belief, the Minnesota Timberwolves are actually not that bad of a team, they just have trouble winning games. Yes, I know that is the name of the game and you are supposed to win and not lose, but they have the pieces in place to be able to turn things around quickly, they just need a little luck with not getting injured.
At full strength, the T-Wolves have a bunch of high-level, young players that could definitely begin to win games in the near future. They do not have a first-round pick in the draft this season, but if their pick finished inside the Top-3, which is where it is projected to be right now, then they retain their pick this year from the Warriors and will be able to add yet another high-level talent to their roster.
In the event that this happens and they are able to draft a guy like Evan Mobley, Jalen Suggs, Jalen Green or Jonathan Kuminga in the draft, then going out and trading both Culver and Hernangomez for Marcus Morris Sr. makes complete sense for the Timberwolves.

This team is not too far off from being able to start winning games at a high-level and potentially competing in the West, which is why going out and getting a vetetran role player like Marcus Morris Sr. could be impactful. He can score at a high-level, as well as be a solid one-on-one defender, which is why the T-Wolves should be delighted to target him if he becomes available this offseason. It will certainly be something to keep an eye on in NBA trade rumors.
They have a young core already in place, they just need to try and remain healthy, which is a big ask given the amount of injuries Minnesota has had over the years. Adding Marucs Morris Sr. for more frontcourt talent and more scoring talent is a major win for the T-Wolves, especially since they would not be giving up too much in the process.
