3. Toronto Raptors

A 6-foot-5 point guard at 27 years old is something that could interest the Raptors in free agency. They are a franchise that is heading in a different direction and will certainly attempt to improve the roster in the offseason. They did not expect to be near the bottom of the standings which means there are going to be some improvements. The Raptors missed out on Spencer Dinwiddie at the NBA trade deadline and could be waiting for him to hit the open market.

Toronto signed Fred VanVleet in the offseason and he quickly turned into the centerpiece player, along with Pascal Siakam. Kyle Lowry was a name thrown around in many rumors at the NBA trade deadline because of his age and expiring contract. This means the Raptors will need to fill his position at point guard.

Dinwiddie seems like the perfect addition. He is a strong passer and a capable three-point shooter. The Raptors moved Normal Powell at the NBA trade deadline and this was one of the moves that was gaining attention. Lowry was the other but he will not be on the team after the season.

Dinwiddie could create a strong backcourt for the future with VanVleet. This is something that Toronto should be intrigued by. Masai Ujiri is one of the best front office minds in the league and he will know what is best for the team moving forward.
