Washington Wizards
Trading for Russell Westbrook ahead of the start of the season seemed like a big move for the Wizards to increase their playoff chances, but it did not seem to help, as this team is still one of the worst teams in the league. Bradley Beal is one of the best players in the league and Westbrook is a triple-double machine, but outside of these two, this Wizards roster may be the worst in the league.
The Wizards have virtually no other players that can contribute at a high-level, other than Rui Hachmiura, and are not an attractive destination at all for All-Star caliber players. As a result, getting rid of Westbrook in the offseason and possibly even Bradley Beal could make a lot of sense for the long-term success of this Wizards organization.
If Beal became available in trade talks, not only would 29 other teams be looking to add him to their roster, but the Washington Wizards could easily get 3-4 first-round picks and possibly 2-3 key young talents to build with for future years.

At this point, completely hitting the reset button and tearing everything apart roster wise is the right move for the Wizards to make because they are not going anywhere as an organization. The Wizards have been very unproductive over the last several years as a franchise and as a result, they are in no position to contend in the Eastern Conference.
As a result, tearing everything down and starting over from the ground is what this Wizards organization is facing, it is just a matter of when do they realize this and pull the trigger in doing so.
