Golden State Warriors Receive: F Pascal Siakam, C Chirs Boucher

Toronto Raptors Receive: C James Wiseman, F Andrew Wiggins

Now this would definitely be a trade that would shake things up in the league! The Warriors coming out of nowhere to strike a deal with the team that just beat them in the 2019 NBA Finals for one of their key players that destroyed Golden State in that series!

This would be a monster deal to be made in the league, but again, it seems very far-fetched to believe that the Raptors would entertain the idea of trading Pascal Siakam. However, there are some very interesting names involved in this trade.

Chris Boucher was a member of the Warriors before signing with the Raptors and has been having a fantastic breakout season. In 49 games this season, Boucher has averaged 13.2 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.9 blocks and is shooting 40.8% from three-point range. He has been one of the most impactful bench players in the league this season and definitely has a very bright future.

As does the #2 overall pick in this past year’s draft, James Wiseman. Not only is he one of the youngest players in the league, as he just turned 20-years-old the other day, but Wiseman has a ton of potential to possibly grow into one of the best centers in the entire league.

Due to the fact that he did not have much of a collegiate career, this year has been a learning year for the young center. Hence, why his numbers and stats have not looked like a #2 overall draft picks stats.

At the NBA trade deadline last season, the Warriors acquired Andrew Wiggins and while they have said that he has a great future next to Steph and Klay in Golden State, the Warriors would definitely entertain the idea of trading him for Siakam.

Basically what this trade comes down to for the Warriors is if they truly believe that James Wiseman can develop into a star quickly. Steph Curry is now 33-years-old, Klay Thompson is 31-years-old and Draymond Green is 31-years-old. With these guys not getting any younger, the Warriors’ chances to win another title will begin to drop a little bit each year, which is why moving Wiseman and Wiggins now for Siakam and Boucher could make a lot of sense for the Warriors’ championship chances.

Now, let’s take a look at both the Warriors and the Raptors as a whole and truly see if this trade is not only feasible for both of them, but if it makes sense for the direction both franchises are trending towards.
