Denver Nuggets
The fit here for the Nuggets is a good one. They are a team in win-now mode and they showed that at the trade deadline when they acquired Aaron Gordon from the Orlando Magic. This is a chance to take the next step in the offseason if they fall short of their goals once again.
Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic make up a dynamic duo in Denver. Jokic is having an MVP-caliber season while Murray continues to be elite. The Nuggets could always use another playmaker and finisher. DeMar DeRozan is the type of consistent performer that can help the Nuggets in the postseason.
With Murray at the top of the offense, the Nuggets lack that presence at shooting guard. This is where DeRozan could fit in and make a difference immediately.

Denver might not be first on the list but they could be viewed as a dark-horse candidate to land DeMar DeRozan in NBA free agency. They have shown that they are dedicated to making big moves in hopes of competing for a championship.
