Los Angeles Lakers Receive: Davis Bertans, Thomas Bryant, 2023 2nd Round Pick (via CHI), 2024 2nd Round Pick (via MEM)
Montrezl Harrell has been a productive bench piece for the Los Angeles Lakers since coming to town. He would be the centerpiece of this deal going back to the Washington Wizards. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope has been a big trade piece for the Lakers for years now. This is a chance for him to finally be moved out of Los Angeles.

The Lakers will need to be cognizant of the fact that the 2021-22 NBA season will mark the final year of Montrezl Harrell’s current contract. With Andre Drummond now a member of the team, Los Angeles will have some options in terms of reconfiguring their roster in the offseason.
Drummond may not be signed to a multi-year deal yet, but the Lakers could get that done in the offseason. If he decides to remain with the Lakers then they would have the ability to move Montrezl Harrell and capitalize on his trade value. That could help Los Angeles to balance out other areas of their roster with Drummond manning the five spot.
Let’s take a closer look and see how this NBA trade deadline scenario centered around Montrezl Harrell will benefit both the Los Angeles Lakers and Washington Wizards.
