Los Angeles Lakers Receive: Buddy Hield
Sacramento Kings Receive: Kyle Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, 2023 2nd Round Pick
The Los Angeles Lakers have had plenty of trade pieces over the years. Kyle Kuzma is one that survived the Davis deal but he could be used in a trade such as this one. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope would also have to go back to the Sacramento Kings in the trade.
Los Angeles would get their marksmen from three-point range. This is something that James has liked to have on the perimeter in the past. Los Angeles is currently middle of the pack in terms of three-point shooting and this can help take them to the next level.

The gamble for the Lakers would be that Buddy Hield would be able to reach the ceiling many thought he was capable of achieving by playing alongside an elite facilitator like LeBron James. Los Angeles needs the shooting capabilities that Hield brings to the table and this would be a great way to get the job done.
There would be some risk when considering Buddy Hield has a large contract that he hasn’t quite lived up to yet. However, that also contributes to his lower trade value and diminishes the need for the Lakers to include much in regard to draft compensation for a potential trade offer for the sharpshooter.
Let’s take a closer look and see how this NBA offseason trade scenario centered around Buddy Hield would benefit both the Los Angeles Lakers and Sacramento Kings.
