Golden State Warriors Receive: G Bradley Beal

Washington Wizards Receive: F Andrew Wiggins, MIN 2021 1st Round Pick (Top-3 Protected), GSW 2023 1st Round Pick, GSW 2025 1st Round Pick (Swap, More Favorable)

Bradley Beal has been often mentioned in NBA trade rumors with the Warriors as a potential landing spot ever since Klay Thompson injured his Achilles and while the Wizards have made their intention on keeping Beal long-term clear, this is still the ultimate trade scenario for the Warriors.

So far this year, Bradley Beal is averaging 31.3 points (league-high), 5.0 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 1.2 steals and is shooting 48.5% from the floor for the Wizards. He was voted in as an All-Star starter this year and has cemented himself as one of the best players in the league today but the Wizards haven’t managed to keep up.

While getting Bradley Beal from the Wizards gives the Warriors the top two scorers in the league, they would have to give up quite a bit in this trade package. Andrew Wiggins has the potential to be a great two-way player when this team is fully healthy, Thompson included, and all of these draft picks are the future of this Golden State organization.

This would be a huge decision for the Warriors to make in terms of prioritizing winning now over the future success of this organization, but seeing Beal and Curry on the court at the same time, with Klay Thompson as well, sure would be special.

Both of these guys are two of the most dynamic scorers in the game today and on the same team, they would be must-see-TV every single night! Bradley Beal and Stephen Curry are unguardable as it is and with a healthy Klay Thompson, the Warriors would be one of the deadliest scoring teams in the league.

The idea of adding Bradley Beal to this team from the Wizards seems fantastic and like a “home-run” acquisition, but something like this may only work in 2K21. The Warriors would be giving up too much of their future in this trade package, which is why they should hold off and not pursue Beal at this time. They would be best suited waiting for him to potentially ask the Wizards to be traded and capitalize on diminished trade value.

Still though, this is a real trade scenario the Warriors could look into in the offseason, especially if Beal pushes to be traded from the Wizards. Washington will likely hold onto Bradley Beal, but this is still a blockbuster deal to monitor in NBA trade rumors this offseason.
