26. Houston Rockets (via MIL)
Usman Garuba, C, Real Madrid
This would be yet another chance at a prospect in the 20’s of the 2021 NBA Draft for the Houston Rockets. This time, the attempt would be to find a reliable backup option behind Christian Wood for a team that has gone super-small in recent seasons to accommodate Morey-ball. A tested international prospect like Usman Garuba would be certainly worth the flier for the Rockets.

27. Brooklyn Nets
Terrence Shannon Jr., G, Texas Tech | Sophomore
It remains to be seen whether the Brooklyn Nets will manage to retain the veteran players they added through the buyout market. However, it wouldn’t hurt to add an athletic combo guard that has quickness to guard multiple positions. He still needs to fine-tune his shooting ability but did so some intriguing signs in that regard towards the end of the season.
28. Phoenix Suns
Ayo Dosunmu, G, Illinois | Junior
There isn’t a lot the Phoenix Suns can do to immediately help their team using the No. 27 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. They have already done a phenomenal job in recent years of adding talent around Devin Booker and with Chris Paul at the helm, trading this selection appears to be the best choice. However, it would be wise to take a guard to develop behind Paul if they were to stay at No. 28 to make the most of his mentorship while they have it.

29. Philadelphia 76ers
Chris Duarte, G, Oregon | Senior
The main knock on Chris Duarte is that he’s going to be 24-years-old when he begins his rookie campaign. Of course, that is quite old for an NBA Draft prospect, but that shouldn’t matter for a Philadelphia 76ers team who is ready to compete for an NBA championship right away. He showed some solid scoring ability in the NCAA Tournament and that could be an intriguing fit.
30. Utah Jazz
Greg Brown, F, Texas | Freshman
The expectations cannot be all that high with the final pick in the first round but the Utah Jazz need to capitalize on NBA Draft choices. Small market teams need to make the most of their chances, especially with major contract extensions kicking in for players like Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert. Going with Greg Brown to add more athleticism and size in the frontcourt would be a solid choice.
