This Pacers-Wizards offseason trade is focused on Myles Turner

After trading for Russell Westbrook in the offseason, many expected the Washington Wizards to be a playoff team, but they have been dreadfully bad this year. Westbrook is averaging just below a triple-double this year and Bradley Beal currently leads the NBA in scoring, but overall, this team is not good. That’s a key reason why they are a team to watch in NBA trade rumors heading into the offseason.

The Wizards did not make any big moves at the trade deadline this season and while they could sneak into one of the play-in games for the playoffs this season, it is more than likely that they will end up with a lottery pick in the NBA Draft for the fourth consecutive season.

Losing center Thomas Bryant for the season due to a torn ACL definitely has impacted the Wizards, as does the fact that over half of their team has dealt with COVID related issues throughout the season. Overall though the lack of talent on this team has made them a bottom-tier team and as a result, they will likely miss the playoffs yet again.

The frustrations of Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook are very noticeable as well. Bradley Beal has tried to keep his emotions in check throughout this season, but at times, it is very noticeable that Beal is frustrated with the Wizards, which is not good for this organization.

If the Wizards are to turn things around in the offseason and get Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal the help they deserve, then they could potentially look to pull off a trade for Pacers’ big man Myles Turner. He was a heavily sought after trade target this season and after not being dealt at this year’s trade deadline, he will continue to be a trade target for many around the league this offseason.

Could Washington offer up enough to convince the Pacers to trade Myles Turner? Let’s take a look at a potential trade that would land the shot-blocking center in Washington D.C.
